Agile landing page development & testing

Problem:
Paid search was driving a good deal of traffic but there was a disconnect between intent (keywords) and where Gong was sending it (general website pages).


Solution:
I led the implementation of Instapage, helping design, launch and test 20+ custom landing pages. As part of this work, I optimized both desktop and mobile experiences to match search keywords and provide a relevant digital experience. Based on performance, I advised on potential A/B tests as well as helping set them up and analyzing results.


Results:
Gong saw a 5.7x increase in paid search landing page conversion rates from this work.

User acquisition & pipeline growth

Problem:
Gong wanted to aggressively test ad creative and messaging on LinkedIn, in hopes of improving performance and scaling their lead generation efforts.


Solution:
I advocated for an improved process where copy and design were more tightly integrated (vs headlines being given to a designer). I took on copywriting responsibilities (in addition to design) and did everything from early theme concepting, post copywriting to crafting visual headlines. I also adopted a pain/solution framework with all ad creative to help Gong’s ad creative resonate better with prospects. 


Results:
In a 2023 quarterly performance report, LinkedIn described Gong’s ads as “best-in-class.” In that same report, LinkedIn shared that Gong’s ads outperformed benchmarks for CTR, CPL and Engagement by 2-3.4x.

New product launch: Gong Engage

Problem:
Gong was preparing to launch an exciting new product called Engage and needed new digital ads and a direct mail campaign to support it.


Solution:
I concepted, wrote and designed a set of 8 ads that could be used across Linkedin, Facebook and other platforms. I also wrote and designed a direct mail piece, targeting sales leaders who have shown some interest in Gong.


Results:
The LinkedIn ads gained traction quickly, driving ~40 demo SQLs in 3 weeks. The direct mail piece also performed well, driving 18 opportunities with an estimated value of $875k.
