I'm a big believer in staying curious and always learning and personal creative exercises are a great way to do that.

The Zoo Website Redesign
Zoos deserve good websites too.
That's why I redesigned my local Zoo's
website as a personal project.
I started with auditing the homepage, using FigJam to make notes and observations. I then tackled the sitemap, to better understand the site content and inform navigation.
Problems to solve:
Site lacked wow factor that
a visit to the zoo providesTop navigation was hidden on desktop & footer lacked a sitemap
Email sign up was difficult to find
Duplicative messaging & content
Lack of intuitive content structure
Other things I did:
Introduced video headers
Modernized the brand experience
Improved conservation education

188 Animal Illustrations
As a creative exercise, I decided to illustrate an animal a day. I did this for 188 days, exploring different styles and techniques. The examples here are from a stretch where I used a yellow background and similar color palette. Check out my Instagram to see them all.
